Hiace Storage Cabinet for pull-out bed - Complete walkthrough

In this video, I showcase the storage cabinetry design in my Toyota HiAce campervan, maximizing practical use in a compact space. This floor-to-ceiling unit offers ample storage for clothes (both clean and dirty), knickknacks, toys, and shoes. It also features a cozy home office area that integrates with the day lounge and securely supports the slide-out bed rail at night.

I faced several design challenges, including creating a smooth finish against the van's curved edges, securely supporting the slide-out bed without sacrificing the lower cabinet's functionality, and minimizing the cabinet's depth to maintain practicality. After hours of research, design, and redesign, I developed a plan that met all these criteria.

Throughout the video, I explain the storage solutions the unit provides and how I tackled various challenges along the way. I hope you find useful insights to apply to your own build! As always, feel free to ask any questions—I’m here to help. Thanks for watching!

Catch you on the next one, Jake
